چکیده

Present days natural fibers have transformed the matter of research field among various fields study to inculcate it in manufacture composites instead production using areca and sisal polymer-based composite. This is due respective advantages related like eco-friendly, low cost, convenience copiousness, biodegradability. Stacks work been carried out fiber-reinforced polymer composites, composite their mechanical properties studied. Here an attempt made on literature survey fibre built where different fibers, its adulthood level, surface treatment effect formation with matrices, highlighted.

Mechanical Testing of Hybrid Composite Material (Sisal and Coir)

The global demand for wood as a building material is steadily growing, while the availability of this natural resource is diminishing. This situation has led to the development of alternative materials. Of the various synthetic materials that have been explored and advocated, polymer composites claim a major participation as building materials. There has been a growing interest in utilizing nat...

Experimental data on the properties of natural fiber particle reinforced polymer composite material

This paper presents an experimental study on the development of polymer bio-composites. The powdered coconut shell, walnut shells and Rice husk are used as reinforcements with bio epoxy resin to form hybrid composite specimens. The fiber compositions in each specimen are 1:1 while the resin and hardener composition 10:1 respectively. The fabricated composites were tested as per ASTM standards t...

Bone: A Composite Natural Material

Composite materials are solids with two or more distinct constituents at a larger scale than an atomic one (Hull, 1981). In accordance to this definition, materials or biological tissues such as wood, dentin and bone are regarded as composite natural materials (Cowin, 2001; Lakes, 2003; Park & Lakes, 1992). Bone is regarded as a natural composite material, which appears as it is in nature, rath...

Chlorine Dioxide Treatment of Sisal Fibre: Surface Lignin and Its Influences on Fibre Surface Characteristics and Interfacial Behaviour of Sisal Fibre/phenolic Resin Composites

This paper describes an investigation of the influences of chlorine dioxide treatment on fibre surface lignin. The fibre surface characteristics and the interfacial behaviour of the sisal fibre/phenolic resin composites were also studied by SEM, AFM, and XPS. The results show that the surface of the untreated fibre contains a large amount of lignin with granular structure and non-granular struc...
